<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic faucet which does not wrongly discharge water even though hot and cold water is drained after storing the hot and cold water in a bowl part. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic faucet includes: a discharge port discharging hot and cold water supplied through a water supply path; a solenoid valve connected to the water supply path; a water storage detection part detecting whether the hot and cold water is stored in a bowl part storing the hot and cold water discharged from the discharge port; a transmission part transmitting a propagation wave toward an object to be detected; a receiving part receiving a reflection wave of the propagation wave and outputting a signal according to a value of the reflection wave as a reception level; standard level setting means setting the reception level to be a standard level when a state where a variation width of the reception level is equal to or less than a predetermined value continues for a time longer than or equal to a predetermined time period; determination means comparing the reception level with the standard level to output a result of determination of whether or not the object to be detected exists; and solenoid valve driving means driving the solenoid valve, based on the output of the determination means.
