<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device capable of dealing with various workpieces, which is suitable for weight reduction. <P>SOLUTION: This is a work holding device 1 to be installed to a robot arm for transportation of various workpieces W, which includes: a support plate 22 to be coupled with the robot arm; a holding mechanism 11 to be installed to the support plate 22 for holding a part Wa to be held of the workpiece W; a freely moving mechanism 12 for supporting movably the holding mechanism 11; and a movement restriction device 13 for restricting the movement of the holding mechanism 11. The holding mechanism 11 is configured either as an inner type that holds the part Wa to be held consisting of a concave portion from the inside or as an outer type that holds the part Wa to be held consisting of a convex portion from the outside. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
