PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a driving method thereof, in particular, a display device and a driving method thereof that are capable of ameliorating image quality defects.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a display panel including a plurality of pixels; a signal controller receiving an input image signal for the pixels so as to process the input image signal to generate an output image signal; and a data driver to convert the output image signal into a data voltage and apply the data voltage to the display panel. The signal controller includes an input image signal correction unit to correct the input image signal to output a corrected image signal. The input image signal correction unit corrects a gray scale value of the input image signal to a first gray scale value greater than 0 when the gray scale value of the input image signal is 0.
