PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recliner that enables energy absorption while maintaining a locked state of the recliner during the input of a major load.SOLUTION: A recliner 4 has: a ratchet 10 and a guide 20 assembled while relatively rotatable to each other; and a pole 30 provided while supported by the guide 20 in a circumferential direction, engaged with the ratchet 10 by the movement extruded to the outside in a radial direction, and locking the rotational movement of the ratchet 10 to the guide 20. The pole 30 is set up while fixed and supported from both sides in the circumference direction by guide walls 23 formed on the guide 20. The guide walls 23 are formed with recesses 23B (fragile parts) plastically deformed upon receiving local stress concentration by a pressing force applied from the pole 30 when a major load with forced deformation is input in the circumferential direction between the pole 30 and the guide walls, at a place spaced from a contact surface with the pole 30 in the circumferential direction. |
