PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source unit, an image reading device, and an image forming device that are capable of suppressing a change in brightness or hue of an image read by the image reading device due to a change in a relative position between a reading object and a light source.SOLUTION: A light source unit 321 comprises a pair of light sources 322 that emit light planarly. A light emission surface 322a of the pair of light sources 322 is a convex surface. The pair of light sources 322 are arranged so that the light emission surface 322a faces a reading position X of an image of a document M. A CCD 340 converts reflected light of light emitted from the light sources 322 to the document M into an electric signal.
