<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion composition for a one-pack type aqueous sealer that exhibits not only excellent adhesion to various kinds of topcoating materials but also excellent adhesion to an old coating film and various kinds of inorganic substrates, forms a film excellent in water resistance and hot water-resistant adhesion, has low odor after sufficient consideration of environmental and hygienic aspects and has good storage stability.SOLUTION: The emulsion composition for a one-pack aqueous sealer contains, based on 100 pts.mass of (a) component of an amino group-free ethylenically unsaturated monomer, 0.1-40 pts.mass of (b) component selected from an amino group-containing ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a quaternary ammonium salt thereof, and 0.1-30 pts.mass of (c) component selected from an epoxy group-containing alkoxysilane compound and a partially hydrolyzed condensation product thereof. In the emulsion composition, the use rate of the component (b) and the component (c) is 0.5-5.0 and if necessary, a film-forming aid is contained in the range of 50 pts.mass or less based on 100 pts.mass of the component (a). The film formed form the emulsion composition has a gel fraction of 80-100%.</p> |
