<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic dictionary device and an electronic dictionary program which allow English words to be easily learned on the basis of a phonics character string and a sound symbol character string.SOLUTION: An electronic dictionary device includes: storage means which stores English words, meaning of the English words, phonics character strings included in the English words, and pronunciations of the phonics character strings in association with one another; character input means; display means; search output means which searches the storage means on the basis of character strings inputted to the character input means and displays results; and selection means for selecting the character strings displayed to the display means. The search output means searches for an English word which has the same phonics character string of the same pronunciation as the phonics character string selected by the selection means and displays the searched English word to the display means.</p> |
