PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power transmission efficiency in supplying power to a load, such as a fixing apparatus.SOLUTION: A primary coil C1 of a transformer 5 is formed of two independent coils including a first primary coil C11 and a second primary coil C12. A switching control circuit 9 connects the primary coil C11 and the second primary coil C12 to an inverter 3 in parallel when large electric power is supplied to a load 6, and connects them in series when power less than that is supplied to the load 6.
