PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing technique of discharge container made of ceramics which allows for correction of deformation at a thin tube portion of a molding, while simultaneously preventing deformation thereof, in a step prior to the calcination.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a discharge container made of ceramics includes: a molding formation step of forming a molding having a spherical portion corresponding to the light-emitting part of the discharge container and a thin tube portion corresponding to the thin tube portion of the discharge container, by introducing slurry containing alumina powder into a mold and releasing the mold; a drying step of drying the molding; a calcination step of calcining the molding thus dried; and a final calcination step of finally calcining the molding thus calcined. The drying step dries the molding while applying a pressing force to the thin tube portion. |
