摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the free adjustment of a pint feed speed in a manual focus operation, and to stabilize the final focusing accuracy with respect to a photographic subject in an optical device.SOLUTION: A video camera 100 as one example of an optical device includes: a drive part 12c for driving a focus lens 12a in an optical axis direction; a control part 14c for controlling the driving of a manual focus ring 14a via the drive part 12c in accordance with the rotation of the manual focus ring; a focus lens position detection part 18 for detecting the optical axis direction position of the focus lens 12a; and a storage part 19 for storing a focus lens position when the focus lens 12a is focused on a main subject. A focus control part 111 changes the drive amount of the focus lens with respect to the rotation of the manual focus ring 14a in accordance with a relation between a signal indicating the current position of the focus lens 12a and a position signal stored in the storage part 19 independently of the drive part 12c.
