<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder and an abnormality detection method which detect transient disconnection failure and contact failure of transmission means arranged in a movable part.SOLUTION: An image recorder includes movement means which relatively moves a control part integrally with a recording head with respect to a signal generation part, and communication test means which performs communication test between the signal generation part and the control part at a position between a first position and a second position while the recording head is relatively moved from the first position where transmission means becomes a first physical situation to a second position where the transmission means becomes a second physical situation.</p> |
