PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote wiring apparatus and a remote wiring method capable of processing a cable and installing a device connected to the cable through remote operation without increasing the size of a cable drum.SOLUTION: The remote wiring apparatus includes: a mobile truck having self-traveling means; plural cable winding means which are connected to each other in series; installation/collection means; and control means that controls the operation of the self-traveling means and the installation/collection means on the mobile truck while receiving remote instructions. The cable winding means is arranged so as to feed out/wind the cable and to be loaded on the mobile truck. The installation/collection means is loaded on the mobile truck to perform loading/unloading of the cable winding means on/from the mobile truck.
