<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fail-safe mechanism for a base-isolated building capable of suppressing excessive deformation exceeding a tolerance limit of a base isolation layer without putting any limitation on a plan of an inside of the base-isolated building.SOLUTION: A fail-safe mechanism for a base-isolated building prevents excessive deformation in a horizontal direction of an upper structure 3 provided above a base isolation layer 2 in a base-isolated building 1 having the base isolation layer 2 in an intermediate floor, and an outrigger frame 6 extending to an upper part than the base isolation layer 2 in the state of not being supported by the base isolation layer 2 and regulating movement of the upper structure 3 in the horizontal direction is provided in a position separated from the upper structure 3 in the horizontal direction.</p> |
