摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine which is low in thermal conductivity, small in heat capacity, excellent in heat insulation performance, also excellent in swing characteristics, and possesses an extremely-thin thickness anodic oxide coating partially or wholly at a wall face facing a combustion chamber, and a manufacturing method of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine N in which an anode oxide coating 10 is formed partially or wholly at a wall face facing a combustion chamber NS, a film thickness of the anode oxide coating 10 is within a range of 30 μm to 170 μm, the anode oxide coating has first micro holes 1a having micro size diameters and nano holes 1c having nano size diameters which extend to a thickness direction or substantially to the thickness direction from a surface of the anode oxide coating 10 toward the inside, and second micro holes 1b located inside the anode oxide coating 10 and having micro size diameters. At least a part of the first micro holes 1a and the nano holes 1c is sealed with a sealing material 2 in which a sealant 2 is inverted, and at least a part of the second micro holes 1b is not sealed.
