<p>The present invention relates to a method to filter caching of input/output data. The method given in the present invention includes: a step of receiving input/output transmission; a step of if the input/output transmission is part of a consecutive data stream and the entire data transmitted as the part of the consecutive data stream is greater than a predefined threshold value calculating the transmission rate of the consecutive data stream; a step of if the input/output transmission is part of a consecutive data stream and the entire data transmitted as the part of the consecutive data stream is greater than the predefined threshold value determining if the transmission rate is greater than the throughput of a target storage device; and a step of if the transmission rate is greater than the throughput of the target storage device caching the input/output transmission and if the transmission rate is not greater than the throughput of the target storage device not caching the input/output transmission.</p> |
