PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a float glass for chemical strengthening capable of suppressing effectively warpage after the chemical strengthening, and omitting or simplifying a polishing treatment or the like before the chemical strengthening.SOLUTION: In a float glass for chemical strengthening having a bottom surface in contact with a molten metal during molding, and a top surface facing to the bottom surface, a hydrogen concentration on the top surface is lower than that of on the bottom surface, and a plate thickness is 1.5 mm or less. In the float glass for chemical strengthening, the ratio of the bottom surface to the top surface of average H/Si strength at the depth of 5-10 μm is 1.6 or smaller. |
