<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a honeycomb structure capable of improving raw material yield and reducing the manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the honeycomb structure, a honeycomb molded body having a partition wall for partitioning and molding a plurality of cells extending from one end surface to be a flow passage of fluid to the other end surface by molding a raw molding material, a plurality of segment blocks are formed by cutting the honeycomb molded body in parallel in the cell extending direction, a plurality of segment block fired bodies are formed by firing the plurality of segment blocks, the plurality of segment block fired bodies are assembled so as to recover to a shape of the honeycomb molded body to join with a joining material, and the honeycomb structure equipped with a plurality of honeycomb segments and buffering parts disposed among the plurality of honeycomb segments are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
