The present invention relates to a method for tracking and monitoring, in real time, the pathological state of a brain-damaged patient, comprising the acquisition of a plurality of cerebral and systemic parameters of said patient and for periodically calculating a variable representative of the state of the patient on the basis of said cerebral and systemic parameters, in order to control a means of displaying said variable representative of the state of the patient. Said cerebral parameters comprise intracranial pressure and cerebral perfusion pressure, the systemic parameters comprise the temperature of the patient, osmolarity and the arterial partial pressure of CO2. The method also involves the acquisition of at least one clinical parameter comprising sedation, said systemic and cerebral parameters characterising the therapeutic intensity used. The method comprises steps of sampling and segmentation of said cerebral, systemic and clinical parameters on the basis of whether the measured values are located within predefined intervals.
