PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill storage mechanism capable of sufficiently securing storage capable number of bills without enlarging a bill storage device loaded with the bill storage mechanism as well as suppressing storage error for the bills by surely pushing out the bills from a bill receiving unit when a bill pressing plate presses the bills.SOLUTION: A bill storage device includes: a bill storage unit; a pair of bill receiving units; a bill pressing plate; a bill pressing plate width enlargement mechanism for enlarging the width of the bill pressing plate when the bill pressing plate is moved inside the bill storage unit; a reciprocating mechanism for moving the bill pressing plate in the direction pushing in bills inside the bill storage unit while maintaining the position of the bill pressing plate and returning to the standby state again; and a single driving means for driving the reciprocating mechanism and the bill pressing plate enlargement mechanism. |
