<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial deodorant which stably supports silver ions and exerts antibacterial and deodorant properties for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The antibacterial deodorant comprises an antibacterial deodorant component and silica-based compound oxide particles. The antibacterial deodorant includes 0.1-25 wt.% of silver ions as the antibacterial deodorant component in the form of Ag<SB>2</SB>O. The silica-based compound oxide particles includes alkali metal ions. The content of the alkali meal ion contained in the silica-based compound oxide particle as M<SB>2</SB>O (M represents an alkali metal) is between 1 and 20 wt.%.
