PURPOSE:To modulate luminous frequency with the temperature of a diode laser device periodically changed by utilizing the heat cycle based on the compression and expansion of the high-pressure helium gas supplied from a compressor. CONSTITUTION:A diode laser device DL is fitted on the cold head H in the dewer DU of a circulating refrigerator and high-pressure helium gas is supplied to the dewer DU from a compressor CO. The rise and lowering of the head H are made periodically in accordance with the compression and exapansion operation of the compressor CO and directly transmitted to the device DL. The luminous frequency thereof directly depends on the temperature of the deivce DL. If the DC current I0 giving reference light frequency is previously supplied to the device DL from a power source 8, therefore, luminous frequency changes with respect to the light frequency. |
