PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillatory wave driver, oscillatory wave motor stator, oscillatory wave motor, drive control system, and optical apparatus and a manufacturing method for the oscillatory wave driver which are capable of achieving high performance, high quality, and low costs without impeding active expansion and contraction of a piezoelectric element.SOLUTION: An oscillatory wave driver 25 comprises: a toric piezoelectric element 20 which is composed of a piece of piezoelectric material 1 and a plurality of electrodes interposing the piezoelectric material 1 and oscillates to generate a travelling wave having a wavelength λ; and a power supply member 8 which includes at least electric wiring 8a for supplying power to the piezoelectric element 20 and is provided on a first surface of the piezoelectric element 20. The piezoelectric element 20: includes at least two drive regions 15, 16 and a non-drive region 17, whose average length in the toric direction is nλ/4 (n is an odd number), between the drive regions; has at least one electrode which is provided on the first surface and is arranged across the drive region 15 or 16 and the non-drive region 17; and is electrically connected to the power supply member 8 only in the non-drive region 17. |
