The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. A method for transmitting channel state information by a terminal in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: joint encoding a rank indicator (RI) and a first precoding matrix indicator (PMI) to a single encoded value, in a reporting mode for four antenna ports; and transmitting channel state information including the encoded value, wherein the encoded value is determined depending on a first table or a second table according to a maximum value of the RI, and an encoding value, which is identical to an encoding value according to the first table, among encoding values according to the second table, may have RI and first PMI identically corresponding to those of the encoding value according to the first table. |
