<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer that securely recovers ink discarded in borderless printing, reduces staining of a sheet, and balances an image print of high quality.SOLUTION: A platen is provided with a reception part which receives ink jetted by an ink jet head to outside a sheet, and the reception part has a long hole which is applied with negative pressure and a guide part which guides the received ink to a predetermined part of the long hole. The long hole has a slit part which includes the predetermined part as its end and extends downstream in a conveying direction of the sheet, and the guide part is so shaped as to restrict the received ink from flowing into the slit part.</p> |
