PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium which is excellent in recording sensitivity, picture quality, and resistance to chemicals.SOLUTION: The thermosensitive recording medium includes an anchor layer, an undercoat layer and a thermosensitive recording layer containing leuco dye and a developer on a support. The anchor layer contains inorganic pigments having an aspect ratio of 20 to 100 and plastic empty particles, and the undercoat layer contains oil absorbent pigments having 40 to 120 ml/100 g of oil absorption. The inorganic pigments contained in the anchor layer are preferably kaolin. Mass proportion of the inorganic pigments and plastic empty particles contained in the anchor layer is preferably 95/5 to 20/80. |
