<p>A stapling device comprises two casing members 10, a pad seat 20, a striker plate 30 and a spring plate 35. The casing members, which are joined together, have front ends respectively forming front-end plates abutting each other. A press-down handle 17 is rotatably coupled to the two casing members. The pad seat is set at the front end of the interior of the two joined casing members. In use, the press-down handle may be pushed towards the device, whereby the striker plate is pulled by the press-down handle to move upward. This upward movement of the striker plate causes the attached spring plate to elastically deform and so provide a striking pre-loading force to the striker plate. The stapling device may include a flexible pad made of a rubberized material, mounted on the top of the pad seat in order to provide a cushioning effect. A pressure adjustment member (fig 1, 40, 41) may be arranged on the top of two casing members to provide a fulcrum to the spring plate, the adjustment of said member varies the striking pre-loading force.</p> |
