The present specification relates to a digital protection relay with a plurality of operating systems (OSs) and a control method thereof. To achieve this, the digital protection relay includes: a flash memory configured to store a plurality of OS image files; an SDRAM; and a control unit configured to patch a second OS image file among the OS image files pre-stored in the flash memory to the SDRAM through an internal program counter or a watchdoc included in the digital protection delay when the digital protection relay is initially booted and a first OS image file among the OS image files pre-stored in the flash memory is not normally patched to the SDRAM within the preset maximum booting time. |
