<p>The present invention provides a battery case having a coating layer including a carbon dioxide scavenger formed in an inner wall thereof. The coating layer includes the carbon dioxide scavenger and thus absorbs carbon dioxide generated from an electrode assembly. The coating layer is formed on a portion of the inner wall or the whole inner wall of the battery case. According to the present invention, generation of a byproduct by carbon dioxide generated in a secondary battery, swelling of the secondary battery, and deterioration of performance and stability of the battery caused by the swelling can be prevented by the battery case.</p> |
