<p>The present invention relates to a media file distribution transcoding method. The media file distribution transcoding method includes the steps of: determining a chain terminal having the highest resource margin as a middle chain terminal through communication between chain terminals if new original media detection information is received from the main server; dividing an original media file having no audio data into a plurality of files after the audio data are separated from the original media file by the middle chain terminal; determining chain terminals having a high resource margin as a conversion chain terminal depending on resource states between remaining chain terminals by the middle chain terminal to transmit the divided files to the conversion chain terminal; allowing the middle chain terminal to merge the divided files subject to transcoding if receiving the divided files subject to the transcoding from each conversion chain terminal and to synthesize the audio data separated from the original file to create the conversion media file; and allowing the middle chain terminal to transmit the conversion media file to a conversion media storage terminal. According to the present invention, the load of a main server can be minimized while a transcoding speed can be remarkably increased, thereby enlarging a media video on demand (VOD)/Live market based on an Internet protocol TV (IPTV) and IP and utilizing digital broadcasting.</p> |
