<p>PURPOSE: A folding device is provided to prevent inner short circuit and the voltage drop caused by the same, which may occure in the folding process of an electrode assembly, thereby preventing the degradation of battery performance and obtaining battery safety. CONSTITUTION: A folding device includes a mandrel (100) which rotates and rolls a web on which planar unit cells are arranged on the upper side of a separation film (300) at a constant interval in order to laminate unit cells in a state the separation film is inserted. The mandrel includes a gripper (110,120) which consists of upper legs (121,123) immobilizing the upper side of a first unit cell (200) and lower legs (122,124) immobilizing the lower side of the separation film. The upper and lower legs are adjacent to a part initiating rolling and adjacent to the boundary between the first unit cell and the separation film.</p> |
