PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply device which supplies power to a load by using a power storage element and storage battery, and has excellent fuel efficiency.SOLUTION: A power supply device having a power generator, a power storage element charged with power generated by the power generator, and a storage battery for storing power from the power storage element comprises: a switch intervening between the power storage element and storage battery; a voltage detection unit for detecting terminal voltage of the storage battery and/or a current detection unit for detecting current input/output to/from the storage battery; and a control unit which calculates a State of Charge of the storage battery from the terminal voltage detected by the voltage detection unit and/or current detected by the current detection unit, and turns off the switch when the State of Charge is equal to or larger than a predetermined value and turns on the switch when the State of Charge is smaller than the predetermined value. |
