PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic waste water treatment method and apparatus which can stably maintain waste water treatment performance even when treating organic waste water, such as rice bran processing waste water, containing hardly decomposable organic matter and having a high COD concentration and/or low pH.SOLUTION: An organic waste water treatment method includes: an adjustment step of adjusting the COD concentration and pH of organic waste water; a pretreatment step of supplying ozone microbubbles into the waste water having undergone the adjustment step to convert hardly decomposable organic matter in the adjusted waste water into lower molecules; a microorganism treatment step of subjecting the waste water having undergone the pretreatment step to microorganism treatment comprising anaerobic treatment, aerobic treatment, and anoxic treatment, in the presence of at least one of phosphorus accumulating bacteria and denitrifying phosphorus accumulating bacteria to remove nitrogen and phosphorus contained in the pretreated waste water; and an MLSS measurement step of measuring the MLSS concentration in the microorganism treatment step. In the adjustment step, the COD concentration and pH of the organic waste water are adjusted based on the MLSS concentration value measured in the MLSS measurement step. |
