PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit generation of rattle noise while suppressing deterioration of fuel economy.SOLUTION: A power transmission device for a hybrid vehicle includes: a transmission 20 that has a carrier C1 connected to a rotating shaft 11 of an engine; a differential 30 that has a plurality of differential rotating elements enabling differential rotation including a carrier C2 connected to a ring gear R1 of the transmission 20, a sun gear S2 connected to a rotating shaft 12 of an MG1 and a ring gear R2 connected to a rotating shaft 13 of an MG2 and a driving wheel W; and an HVECU that reduces a change gear ratio of the transmission 20 when a condition for generating rattle noise is satisfied.
