[Class 35] A totally enclosed machine comprises a ribbed stator frame 2 incorporating cooling ducts 3 through which the internal air of the machine is circulated, and a laminated stator core 21 having ducts 23 supplied with external air from the larger section of a dual fan 6, the smaller section delivering air over the ribbed outer surface of the machine. The outputs of the two sections of the fan are separated by a curved guide 11 and the air delivered by the smaller section is guided over the stator frame by a curved end plate of the machine.
