PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which is advantageous for preventing insulation breakdown of a drive transistor when voltage is not supplied to a recording element and the drive transistor.SOLUTION: A recording element substrate comprises a recording element for recording, a MOS transistor in which the drain terminal is connected to a first power node that receives a first voltage and the source terminal and the back gate terminal are connected to the recording element, and a unit which includes a second power node that receives a second voltage and supplies the second voltage to the gate terminal of the MOS transistor. The unit includes a control part which controls the voltage of at least one side of the gate terminal and the drain terminal so that the voltage difference between the gate terminal and the drain terminal becomes less than the second voltage in a case that the first voltage is not supplied to the power node. |
