PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse surface electrode type solar battery having a mark for directivity confirmation which gives no mechanical damage to a substrate, and a method of manufacturing a reverse surface electrode type solar battery in which the mark can be formed without increasing the number of processes.SOLUTION: A reverse surface electrode type solar battery 1 has, on one surface of a semiconductor substrate of a first conductivity type, a first conductivity type impurity diffusion layer, a second conductivity type impurity diffusion layer, and a first electrode connected to the first conductivity type impurity diffusion layer and a second electrode connected to the second conductivity type impurity diffusion layer, and in one or more end regions of the semiconductor substrate, the first conductivity type impurity diffusion layer and the second conductivity type impurity diffusion layer are different in shape from other end regions. |
