PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electricity storage device electrode, capable of reducing a moisture content contained in an active material layer of a strip-shaped electrode after drying to a predetermined amount or less at which deterioration in performance of an electricity storage device can be suppressed and prevented.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an electricity storage device electrode includes: an applying step of applying an active material mixture S on at least one surface of a strip-shaped metal foil 12; a take-up step of taking up the strip-shaped metal foil 12, on which the active material mixture S is applied, onto a take-up reel 26; and a drying step of drying the active material mixture S applied to the strip-shaped metal foil 12 while the metal foil 12 is wound on the take-up reel 26. The length of the strip-shaped metal foil 12 to be taken up onto the take-up reel 26 in the take-up step is set so that, after the completion of the drying step, a remaining moisture content at the thickness direction center of the metal foil layer while the metal foil layer is taken up around the take-up reel 26 is a preset amount or less and is less than or equal to two times the remaining moisture content at the thickness direction end portion of the metal foil layer. |
