A touch panel comprising an active area portion where touch input is carried out, provided with a reinforced glass substrate having a compression stress layer formed on the surface thereof and transparent electrodes comprising an inorganic oxide film formed in the active area portion of the reinforced glass substrate, wherein a foundation layer comprising an organic film is provided between the transparent electrodes and the compression stress layer configured in such a way that the transparent electrodes and the compression stress layer sandwich the foundation layer without being in contact with one another, and an overcoat layer comprising an organic film is provided on the side of the transparent electrodes facing away from the compression stress layer, the overcoat layer being formed to cover the transparent electrodes so as to be in contact with the transparent electrodes above the foundation layer. |
