<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe wall thickness measuring device that can measure the wall thickness of pipes quickly and properly by easy and convenient operation for densely arranged pipe groups such as the superheater of a boiler. <P>SOLUTION: The pipe wall thickness measuring device 10A is provided at the tip 11a of an arm member 11, and includes a wall thickness measurement unit 12 and a positioning member 14 that are arranged along the horizontal direction crossing orthogonally the lengthwise direction of the arm member 11. The positioning member 14 is a V block for example: when the pipe is brought into contact with V-shaped contact surfaces 141a and 141b, an ultrasonic probe 21 provided in the wall thickness measurement unit 12 advances along the outer surface of the pipe in the normal line direction by the operation of an actuator 22, and is brought into contact with the pipe in the appropriate direction and at a suitable pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
