<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for power control of a refrigerating and freezing system. The apparatus for power control of a refrigerating and freezing system comprises: a control unit controlling an operation of the refrigerating and freezing system; a power unit supplying a power source; an operating unit for a user input; a switch unit located between the power unit and the control unit; and a power management unit changing the state of the power application to the control unit by determining whether the input condition is satisfied when a power operation signal is inputted through the operation unit, and operating the switch unit in accordance with the inputted power operation signal when the input condition is satisfied based on the determined results. In regards to the input condition, whether the power operation signal is inputted for more than a certain period of delay, and whether an operational state is reaffirmed can be set. Accordingly, the probability of malfunction is reduced by ameliorating a simple on/off method of the power switch; power application/cut-off motions can be realized in accordance to an accurate intention of a user; and properties of stability and performance of the system can be improved.</p> |
