<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect whether a spark discharge normally occurs in an ignition plug. <P>SOLUTION: An ignition device 101 includes an ignition plug 1 and a voltage application section 31 for applying a voltage to the ignition plug 1, and the voltage is applied from the voltage application section 31 to the ignition plug 1, thereby the spark discharge is generated in the ignition plug 1. During a predetermined determination period from a point of time when the voltage is applied from the voltage application section 31 to the ignition plug 1, in the case where the peak value of a differentiation value of a voltage waveform corresponding to the applied voltage to the ignition plug 1 exceeds a predetermined determination threshold value, a discharge detection section 45 determines that the spark discharge is generated in the ignition plug 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
