The present invention relates to a heavy duty coating composition and a construction method using the same. More specifically, an epoxy-based bottom coating material paint and middle coating material paint are coated, and finishing coating is performed using a urethane-based top coating material paint, so that the surface of steel bridges, marine structures, and steel plants can be prevented from being corroded. The paints are sequentially coated so that a film having a particular thickness is formed. The heavy duty coating composition has excellent pollution resistance, shock resistance, water resistance, brine resistance, durability, abrasion resistance, adhesion, acid resistance, alkali resistance, and solvent resistance. The heavy duty coating composition of the present invention comprises: a bottom coating material paint consisting of 30-50 parts by weight of a denatured epoxy resin and 5-35 parts by weight of a denatured aromatic amine hardening agent; a middle coating material paint consisting of 30-50 parts by weight of a denatured epoxy resin and 5-35 parts by weight of a denatured aromatic amine hardening agent; a top coating material paint consisting of 50-80 parts by weight of an acryl polyol resin, 40-60 parts by weight of a unfading polyurea resin, and 5-10 parts by weight of a poly isocyanate; and a diluting agent consisting of 50-60 parts by weight of xylene, 15-25 parts by weight of toluene, and 5-15 parts by weight of methyl ethyl ketone. 5-15 parts by weight of the diluting agent is used for the bottom coating material paint and middle coating material paint, respectively, and 5-10 parts by weight of the diluting agent is used for the top coating material paint. |
