摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope system, a subject observation method and a subject observation program capable of efficiently setting in a short amount of time a relative distance range between a measured subject and an objective lens in respect to a plurality of unit areas. <P>SOLUTION: The plurality of unit areas are set based on an instruction for an observation range. An overlapping portion is formed in between adjacent unit areas. An initial position which is relative to an optical system and an observation subject is determined so that the optical system is focused on at least a part of the unit area in regard to respective unit areas. The optical system and the observation subject are relatively moved from the initial position in the direction where the optical system and the observation subject are brought closer and in the direction where the optical system and the observation subject are brought farther apart, and a relative moving range between the optical system and the observation subject is set in respect to the unit area. In regard of respective unit areas excluding the first unit area, relative initial positions between the optical system and the observation subject are determined based on pixel data in respect to the overlapping portion of the unit areas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p>
