<p>Laminated plastic sheet is produced by coating a plastic sheet with a soln. or dispersion of another plastic, drying the applied coating by use of radiant heating, and completing the drying with a rapid stream of gas having a temp. of >=100 degrees C. while the rear side of the plastic sheet is passed over a moving surface whose surface is held at a temp. closely below the m.pt. of the plastic sheet. Used for prodn. of pressure sensitive adhesive sheets and sheets coated with heat sealable material, or material impermeable for gases. The method enables drying to be effected very rapidly using small sized drying appts. A homogeneous coating layer is obtained.</p> |
