<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article sales data processing device, used to perform accounting operation for articles, that can improve services to customers. <P>SOLUTION: In a POS device 20, a control part 10 for a customer-side display device reads a character string of an article name, using a second language selectively indicated on a touch panel 31 and based upon article data related to an article code read by an article code read part 4a, out of an article name language data storage area 121, and displays the character string on a customer-side display device 2.
