The package has a cold box including an interior, in which a low pressure column (5) of a low temperature air separator system is arranged. The low pressure column cooperates with a high pressure column (3) in the system. The low pressure column includes substance exchanging elements. The exchanging elements are formed by a structured package in sub regions (A-E) of the low pressure column. The structured package is formed from folded metal sheets with a thickness of less than or equal to 0.2 mm. The structured package includes a specific surface area of 1000 square m/cubic m. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a low temperature air separator system.
