Sea going liquefied gas tanker - with hull and uninsulated hold partitions of frost resistant concrete and heated junction

A tanker for the transport of low-boiling liquefied gases has a hull made of low temp. resistant concrete, reinforced with steel which retains its toughness below zero. The holds are subdivided by partitions of the same material which acquire the same temp. as the hold contents. A heating device is arranged at the boundary of the partitions with the hull and the bottom of each hold is lined with heat insulation (plastic foam). The omission of the insulation on the partitions results in a considerable space saving and cost saving.
