Bobbin changing device is provided with an inclined ramp having at its lower end a spent bobbin magazine and upstream of the bobbin supports and the magazine being provided with respective abutments which are jointly operable by a release mechanism. Inclined ramps extend parallel to and along the direction of the unwound wires from bobbins. Used for twisting electric wire strands into telecommunication cables. Device allows fully automatic quick changing of bobbins.
