The present invention relates to highly water-dispersible polyester binder fiber for thin paper and to synthetic paper using the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to highly water-dispersible polyester binder fiber for thin paper and to synthetic paper using the same, wherein the highly water-dispersible polyester binder fiber for thin paper has very excellent heat resistance owing to a high melting point, has excellent adhesion at low temperatures, has excellent water dispersibility owing to high hydrophilicity, and has sensations such as tactile sensation improved. The highly water-dispersible polyester binder fiber for thin paper comprises the copolymers of: an esterification reaction product of an acid component including an aromatic polyvalent carboxylic acid having six to 12 carbon atoms, an aliphatic polyvalent carboxylic acid having two to 14 carbon atoms and sodium 3,5-dicarbomethoxybenzene sulfonate, and an aliphatic diol component having two to 14 carbon atoms; and polyethylene glycol. |
