A protective barrel for a water meter which has a cover for opening and closing an upper portion thereof, wherein inner components such as a counter, a valve, and a pipe are installed in the protective barrel. An outer edge of a heat insulating material is attached to an inner circumferential surface of the protective barrel inside the protective barrel, such that an inner space of the protective barrel is horizontally divided into upper and lower portions and the divided portions are shielded from each other. The heat insulating material is characterized in that it is manufactured by stacking a plurality of foaming synthetic resin sheets in a predetermined height to be bonded with each other and form a panel, and punching a mold corresponding to a shape of the protective barrel in a vertical direction. An objective of the present invention is to provide an elastic heat insulating material for a water meter which can be easily inserted and installed even when a portion of a surface of the protective barrel is deformed due to an earth pressure during installation. |
